This includes teaching classes and providing small group and individual support for specific school related topics, maintaining communication with families, teachers and administration on specific student needs, providing feedback and recommending appropriate action and solutions to student academic and behavioral needs, and participating with leadership and the student data team to help identify targeted or intensive services. The school counselor serves on the Child Study, Behavior, Safety, Data, and IEP teams and as a member of the district-wide school-counselors' group.We are specifically seeking a candidate that:Holds a current school counselor certificate or statement of eligibility, issued by the state of New Hampshire.Can work collaboratively to develop and implement student supportsAttends and participates in district and school based professional development sessions and teamsDevelops and maintains knowledge of students to help them develop age appropriate social emotional regulation skills.Is comfortable working with students 1:1, in small groups, and teaching whole group lessonsHas the ability to relate to and teach students with diverse backgrounds and learning stylesDemonstrates enthusiasm for the role and content.
