Assistant Kitchen Manager

Harborside, where quality of life meets the rewards of leadership through management Kitchen Manager Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our establishment’s kitchen staff. As the kitchen manager, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ordering supplies, scheduling shifts, and monitoring inventory levels. You will work directly with our executive chef and management team to help bring a great overall experience to our guests. Our ideal candidate will have a proven background in management. We are looking for someone who earns the respect of their team through their leadership, not demand it through their title. Salary: $45,000 to $55,000 per year Hours: 40 to 45 hours per week, no late nights! Responsibilities: A positive leader with excellent communication skills Knowledgeable of all kitchen operations Supervise food prep and cooking Supervise, coach, and motivate kitchen employees Hold BOH staff accountable with recipe specs Maintain high-performance standards Train employees Keep weekly and monthly cost reports Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen Report directly to the Executive Chef Skills and qualifications: Proven work experience in a full-service casual restaurant setting Comfortable helping in the expo window during peak hours Experience in all rolls within a kitchen setting Ability to memorize and explain the restaurant’s menu Willingness to work flexible hours (days, nights, and weekends) Clear verbal communication skills Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Excellent observation skills Problem-solving skills Ability to multitask while maintaining composure Ability to anticipate operational needs Knowledge of current food and beverage trends Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid time off Shift: Day shift Evening shift People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Experience: Cash handling: 1 year (Required) Restaurant experience: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Ability to Relocate: Winter Haven, FL 33880: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
