Special Education Teacher in Norristown, PA

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A 35-hour per week itinerant special education teaching position is available to support preschool-aged children in community preschool settings. This role is ideal for an educator certified in Pre-Kindergarten through 4th grade and/or special education in Pennsylvania, including candidates with emergency permits. Location: Broomall, PA (Delaware County IU 25) Setting: Elementary School Job Duration: Contract, Current School Year Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction to approximately 30 preschool students with special education needs across multiple community preschools. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements. Collaborate with preschool staff and families to support student development and learning outcomes. Participate in ongoing professional development and training provided to ensure the highest quality of service. Qualifications: Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Pre-Kindergarten through 4th grade and/or special education; emergency permits will be considered. Experience working with young children with special education needs in community or early childhood settings preferred. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with families, staff, and administrators.
