DevOps Engineer

Overview In this role you will advance the development lifecycle for secure production deployments at Kudu Dynamics, a Leidos-owned company. You will build and maintain fast, secure release pipelines and automate deployments across environments. You’ll work with Puppet, Ansible, and CI/CD tools to support scalable web service infrastructure. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position focused on automation, reliability, and secure delivery in a mission-driven environment. You will join a team shaping resilient systems for higher-stakes operations. ResponsibilitiesSupport the development lifecycle from platform design to deployment and debuggingBuild and maintain a release pipeline for secure, rapid delivery to productionAutomate deployments across environments using scripting and toolkitsConfigure sites/applications with Puppet and Ansible; maintain Confluence/JiraAssist in designing and maintaining web service infrastructure and deploymentsIdentify and implement automation to streamline processes Key requirementsBachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 8 years technical experience5+ years of DevOps experienceFluent with Git and version control best practicesStrong knowledge of Linux environments (RHEL 6/7/8, RHCSA/RHCE, CentOS) and Windows system administrationExperience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment (preferred)Expertise with caching technologies (Memcache, Active MQ, Redis, APC), MySQL (Clusters, Replication, Tuning), Elasticsearch (Kibana a plus)Familiarity with security practices, networking, firewalls, and PCI complianceExperience with Agile development and managing AWS cloud or PaaS environmentsProficiency in at least one programming language (Ruby, C/C++, Go, Python, or Java) and OO programming knowledgeTop Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearanceGitLinux system administration (RHEL/CentOS)Windows administrationJenkins/BambooDockerKubernetes
