Dishwasher PositionReports to: Chef
Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods. Major areas of responsibility include keeping the dishwashing area clean and safe, scraping, rinsing, and loading dishes and utensils into dish machines, washing and sanitizing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, placing clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas, sorting and removing trash, sweeping or mopping floors, maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition, cleaning garbage cans with water and soap, storing supplies, stocking supplies in serving stations, cupboards, or refrigerators, transferring supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, cleaning dish machines, performing additional cleaning duties as requested, and maintaining a positive and professional approach to coworkers and customers.

Essential Functions: Standing for long periods of time, using both hands and all fingers to handle, control, grasp, move, assemble or feel objects, tools, or controls, repeating the same movements, walking or standing for long periods of time, seeing details of objects that are less than a few feet away, seeing details of objects that are more than a few feet away, seeing differences between colors, shades, and brightness, understanding the speech of another person, speaking clearly so listeners can understand, using stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired, keeping your hand and arm steady while moving, moving two or more limbs together, bending, stretching, twisting, or reaching out their body, being physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath, focusing on one source of sound and ignoring others, hearing sounds and recognizing the difference between them, using muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects, using muscles for extended periods without getting tired, determining the distance between objects, coordinating movement of several parts of the body, reacting quickly using hands, fingers, or feet, multitasking different work activities and shifting attention from one task to another, occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, occasionally exposed to extreme cold and/or heat (non-weather), heavy lifting up to 40 lbs.
