Job DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum for a travel nursing job in Dickinson, North Dakota.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & PostpartumDiscipline: RNStart Date: 05/25/2026Duration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, rotatingEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Rotating, 3x12hrsHours: 36 hrs/wkStart Date: May 25, 2026Length: 13 weeksOpenings: 2DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum) position at a rural acute care hospital in North Dakota, requiring 2 years of L&D experience and active ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.DetailsAcute care hospital setting in a rural environment, located more than 1 hour from the nearest NICU with limited ancillary servicesLDRP unit with 4 L&D beds and 7 postpartum bedsPatient population includes laboring patients ≥35 weeks gestation and mother/baby coupletsStaffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: Labor 1:1–2, Postpartum 1:2–3RNs are required to titrate drips, including Magnesium, Oxytocin, Zofran, LR, and various postpartum medicationsNeonatal respiratory equipment in use, including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow; RNs assist with neonatal vent supportRNs circulate for the baby during C-sections; Surgery manages the procedureEFM system: OB Trace VueEMR: MEDITECH12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM)Block scheduling; self-scheduling not availableEvery third weekend requiredHoliday coverage required based on availabilityFloating to Med/Surg or ED for 1:1 patient sitting as needed13-week contractRequirementsActive ND or Compact (NLC) RN license required; pending licenses are not acceptedCurrent certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP — pending certifications are not acceptedMinimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience requiredBSN not requiredCandidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facilityCandidates may not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity HealthA copy of a valid driver's license is required for considerationTwo professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked — must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehireAdditional InformationThis is a rural hospital setting; successful candidates should be highly independent, team-oriented, and comfortable working with limited resources and provider availabilityRNs receive 3 shifts (36 hours) of unit-specific orientationScrubs are provided by the facilityFacial hair policy: clinicians with facial hair must pass an N95 fit test (3M Aura 1860 or 3M 1870+); if unable to pass and facial hair cannot be removed, the contract may be subject to cancellationRTO of 7 days or fewer per 13-week contract must be requested upfront; additional RTO will not be approvedNo clinical involvement roles available on this unitAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-700465.
