Product Design Engineer – Sheet Metal & Injection MoldingLomanco, Inc. is seeking a Product Design Engineer with experience in sheet metal product design, stamping/forming processes, and plastic injection molded part design. This position will work closely with manufacturing, tooling, maintenance, and engineering teams to develop and support high-volume manufactured products from concept through production.The ideal candidate understands how products are actually manufactured — including tooling limitations, forming operations, assembly methods, tolerances, and design-for-manufacturability principles — not just conceptual CAD design.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop sheet metal and plastic injection molded products for high-volume manufacturingCreate and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorksWork with tooling suppliers and internal teams regarding progressive dies, transfer dies, forming operations, and tooling improvementsSupport product prototyping, testing, validation, and production implementationCollaborate with manufacturing and maintenance teams on assembly methods, fixtures, automation, and process improvementsSupport engineering documentation, BOMs, ECOs/ECNs, and PDM systemsParticipate in product improvement, quality, and cost-reduction initiativesAssist with technical evaluations and design-for-manufacturing reviewsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferredExperience with:Sheet metal designStamping and forming processesProgressive and/or transfer diesPlastic injection molded part designDesign for manufacturability (DFM)Proficiency with SolidWorks and PDM systemsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to work closely with manufacturing personnel, tooling vendors, and cross-functional teamsPreferred ExperienceHigh-volume manufacturing environmentsTooling coordination and production supportProduct testing and validationAssembly process developmentVentilation, roofing, HVAC, or building productsPosition DetailsFull-timeOn-site positionLittle Rock, Arkansas areaBenefitsCompetitive salary401(k) with 100% company match on employee contributions up to 8%100% company-paid employee health insurance premiumsPaid vacation and holidaysLong-term career opportunity with established manufacturer
