Events Manager
Our client in the fitness space is seeking a freelance Events Manager to support the team with a parental leave. You will be responsible for owning and executing end-to-end event strategy and logistics for large-scale and fast-turn activations. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, can quickly take control of complex programs, and delivers seamless brand experiences.This role is 30-40 hours per week from June - December 2026.This role requires you to come onsite Tues, Wed, and Thurs at their office located in the Denver, CO area.Events Manager Responsibilities:- Own and execute events end-to-end, including strategy, planning, logistics, and onsite activation- Lead large-scale experiential events (e.g., trade shows, fitness activations, booth builds up to 50x60)- Manage all event logistics including vendors, agencies, budgets, shipping/freight, inventory, and compliance- Build and manage event programming, run-of-show, timelines, and staffing plans- Partner cross-functionally (Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Commercial) to align event goals and activations- Implement processes and tracking systems (e.g., Monday boards) to manage workflows and execution- Oversee vendor relationships and ensure all deliverables are on time and on brand- Manage event budgets, track spend, and report on KPIs (revenue, engagement, lead generation)- Deliver post-event recaps with insights and optimizations for future eventsEvents Manager Requirements:- Minimum 5 years of experience in event or experiential marketing (consumer brand preferred)- Strong background in event logistics, vendor management, and large-scale activations- Proven ability to independently run events and take full ownership (run the show)- Highly organized with excellent project management skills across multiple timelines- Experience working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines and quick turnarounds- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (preferred)In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
