Drive-Thru General Manager: Lead Operations & Service

As a SONIC Drive-In restaurant General Manager, you will lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality food and service at the drive-in restaurant.General Manager ResponsibilitiesManage, train, monitor and coach crew and team members, carhops and skating carhopsDirect and assign drive-in restaurant employees as needed to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standardsAdhere to and monitor employee compliance with the drive-in employee handbook, policies and practicesPerform restaurant opening and/or closing dutiesPrepare employee work schedules; monitor and make appropriate adjustments to restaurant staffing levelsMonitor and maintain restaurant inventory levels. Place orders for food, paper and other supplies within cost control proceduresComplete and maintain all drive-in restaurant employment-related records and payroll recordsReinforce a customer service mentality and ensure all employees are focused on serving the customer at all timesImmediately and respectfully resolve guest requests. Report guest complaints to immediate supervisor and assist in resolving such complaintsInterview and hire restaurant crew and management team members to achieve proper staffing levelsPrepare all necessary operational reports. Develop appropriate action plans to resolve unfavorable financial and/or sales trendsDevelop and implement a marketing planGeneral Manager RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields are preferredMinimum of two (2) years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred), experience running shifts without supervisionRequired to work a minimum 5-day workweek with 4 closing shifts (or 4-day workweek guaranteed) including irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidaysKnowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practicesKnowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulationsLeadership and supervisory practices and skills; effective verbal and written communication skillsBasic accounting and computer skillsAbility to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions; ability to multi-task and successfully solve problemsProblem-solving, decision-making and conflict-resolution skillsWillingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONICSONIC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.J-18808-Ljbffr
