The Territory Sales Manager reports directly to the Sales Director. This position focuses on managing all sales aspects of their sales region, including introducing new innovative products, growing existing customer and new prospect relationships, and partnering with manufacturers' representatives and distributors to achieve company sales targets.ResponsibilitiesDevelop overall territory plans with specific sales targetsMaintain a working knowledge of USI products and how to demonstrate themBuild valuable relationships with customers and distributorsContact and visit (in-person and virtually) new and existing customers and distributors to grow relationships and generate salesAssess customer needs and offer solutions and support via a consultative approachGenerate and follow up on leads from calls, visits, trade shows, and other marketing effortsCreate and manage opportunities for customer quotes and sample requestsManage CRM databaseTrack weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metricsInitiate and follow through on the product approval processCoordinate a successful sales strategy with the Manufacturer's Representative and the Distribution Network.Travel throughout the territory to provide technical demonstrations and presentations of all productsWork closely with Customer Service to keep account activities currentEvaluate market trends, competitive activity, and opportunities with existing or new productsAdvise management of new product ideas to increase market shareParticipate in trade shows and exhibitions as needed.Other duties as assigned by managementSkills and AbilitiesStrategic and consultative sales skillsExcellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to work as a teamResults-driven: dedication to meeting sales goalsMaintain a high level of product and application knowledgePresentation and public speaking skillsAttention to detail and focus on client relationshipsRequirementsAssociate's or Bachelor's DegreeMinimum of 5 years of outside sales experience required.Ability to travel 50% of the yearSpend 30 hours per week in the office when not traveling on the roadWilling to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background checkExperience within the electric utility markets is a plusMust be able to pull and utilize our product demonstration trailersPay Range$90,000 - $115,000/yr base salaryAnnual bonus opportunityJ-18808-Ljbffr
