Global Supply Manager

Overview:We are seeking a Global Supply Manager to own and scale our end-to-end procurement operations. This role is critical to ensuring reliable, cost- effective, and compliant sourcing of technical components in a fast-paced, early-stage environment. You will build systems, develop supplier partnerships, and drive procurement strategy to support rapid growth in a mission-drive energy/deep tech company. This position is located in Livermore, CAPrimary Responsibilities:Own the full procurement lifecycle, from purchase request intake through PO issuance, delivery tracking, and incoming quality validationIdentify, onboard, and manage suppliers. Lead RFX processes and negotiate pricing,lead times, and contractual termsBuild and implement scalable procurement systems, including PO management, order tracking, and documentation workflowsDevelop and refine supplier selection frameworks across cost, lead time, quality, technical capability, and complianceEnsure all purchase items meet industry standards and applicable safety regulationsProduce and maintain detailed procurement documentationLead and actively participate in team meetings providing purchase order statuses and supportCollaborate closely with Finance on PO approvals, supplier payments, and spend trackingQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier management3+ years of hands-on experience in technical procurement (energy, deep tech, hardware or startup environments preferred)Experience with procurement/ERPsystems (Ramp, Coupa, SAP, or similar)Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and production techniques.Experience managing at least one or more of the following categories: electrical, mechanical, optical components, or capital equipmentStrong negotiation and contract management experienceExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills with the ability to balance tactical rigor and strategic prioritiesStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholdersWillingness to travel to supplier sites as needed.Salary & Benefits:The base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $200,000; The pay range provided is an estimated base range for this role.
