The technologist will be responsible for patient preparation, operating ultrasound equipment, and ensuring high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Imaging Verify patient identity and review medical history prior to examinations. Prepare patients and explain procedures to ensure cooperation and comfort. Perform ultrasound examinations using appropriate techniques and protocols. Adjust scanning methods to obtain optimal image quality and diagnostic results. Identify and report any contraindications or urgent findings to the physician. Evaluate patient condition before discharge from the department. Equipment & Safety Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality. Perform minor troubleshooting and report equipment issues as needed. Follow safety protocols to minimize patient exposure to acoustic energy. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Image Analysis & Documentation Analyze sonographic findings to ensure complete and accurate studies. Capture and document diagnostic images for physician interpretation and records. Perform required measurements and calculations per established protocols. Provide preliminary observations to the Radiologist when appropriate. Communication & Team Collaboration Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare staff. Assist in coordinating patient care and scheduling as needed. Support onboarding and training of new ultrasound staff. Administrative Duties Maintain adequate supply levels for daily operations. Assist with scheduling, patient transport coordination, and general department workflow. Perform additional duties as assigned.
