Senior Associate, Procurement

It addresses the challenges of procuring materials, equipment, and services under strict compliance and operational requirements while supporting business and program objectives efficiently.About the Opportunity:The Senior Associate, Procurement supports the acquisition process by managing procurement activities that enable timely, compliant, and efficient purchasing operations. This role maintains accurate procurement processes, coordinates with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and supports the organization’s operational and program requirements.Responsibilities:• Support the procurement of materials, equipment, and services in accordance with established procedures and program requirements.• Review purchase requisitions for completeness, accuracy, and required approvals.• Prepare and issue solicitations to approved suppliers.• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations based on pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.• Process and administer purchase orders, including acknowledgements, status updates, changes, and closeout.• Coordinate with suppliers regarding order requirements, documentation, and delivery schedules.• Monitor open purchase orders and follow up on supplier commitments.• Resolve routine procurement and supplier issues involving delivery, quality, and documentation.• Maintain accurate procurement files and system data to support audit readiness.• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and customer requirements.• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and support procurement execution.• Assist with tracking and reporting procurement status and purchase order activity.• Support supplier documentation and onboarding activities.• Participate in procurement process improvement initiatives.• Escalate non-routine procurement or supplier issues to senior team members or management.• Travel up to 10% may be required.Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of related experience, graduate degree with 0–2 years of related experience, or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.• Knowledge of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or sourcing operations.• Experience with purchase order processing and procurement administration.• Familiarity with supplier quotations, purchasing documentation, and procurement records.• Proficiency with ERP systems or similar procurement tools.• Ability to accurately apply established procurement procedures and requirements.• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.• Experience in regulated industries such as defense or aerospace preferred.• Understanding of procurement documentation, purchase order terms, and supplier communications.• Ability to support audit readiness and internal control compliance.Pay Range and Compensation Package:• Salary range for designated states and regions: $63,000–$117,000 annually..
