Systems Analyst II

Job SummaryPromotes the effective use of HIT systemsAssists with analyzing, testing, and implementation of supported system changesMust possess excellent written and oral communication skillsAssures duties assigned are completed on timeRoutinely analyzes relevant clinical system's performance and useEnsures completion and effectiveness of assessment, planning, implementation, training, evaluation, and optimization of technology related projects within the environmentProvides coordination of technology related needs within the healthcare environmentPromotes improvement by encouraging questions and investigating best practices with respect to the impact of technology within the organizationProvide input into the information systems budget and activities, recommends information system projects to improve operations of the organization.Works independently and in a team settingWorks closely with other HIT Analysts and Technical resources for implementations, upgrades, and day-to-day support needs related to supported systemsKnowledge of inbound and outbound interfaces (HL7 knowledge a plus)Provides day-to day support of EHR processesAbility to learn and support new applicationsMaintains accurate and up-to-date documentationKnowledge of clinical processes, and various clinical systemsWorks as a liaison between HIT and other departmentsCollaborates with department leads regarding new system/product implementationsResponds to incidents requiring diagnosis of trouble ticketsOn-call as needed in support of HIT clinical/financial systemQualificationsExperience with Microsoft office programs preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills preferred. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills preferred. Ability to organize and coordinate multiple simultaneous tasks in a team environment preferred.EducationBachelor's degree in a clinical discipline, Education or Information Technology preferred.ExperienceFive years of application support and demonstrated training experience required. Healthcare experience a plus. Experience working with physicians and other clinical practitioners preferred.Licensure/CertificationLicensure/Certification/Registration as appropriate to healthcare field preferred. Must have a valid driving license, and reliable personal transportation Other Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesPossess strong verbal communication and public speaking skills. Possess the ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, fellow trainers, and leadership. Demonstrate the ability to think critically, identify and resolve problems, and communicate effectively with a wide variety of end users, with varying levels of skill.
