Company DescriptionTerra Echelon, LLC is the parent company to a group of alternative investment management businesses related to real estate liens, loans, and associated REO (foreclosures). The company is 22 years old, based in Boise, ID, and is seeking candidates in the Boise metro area. We seek a candidate who is motivated to do not just the daily tasks, but to elevate and automate our processes to reduce mundane work for all employees to allow more time for analytics and decision making.Role DescriptionThe ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial reporting including: inventory systems management, managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, client reports, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities. There is no CFO, so this position reports directly to the company president/owner. This is one of three key leadership positions under the owner, in a small company of just 10 employees that deals with sophisticated clients and investments. In a small company, leadership team members like this must have executive muster, but also get their hands dirty with the details on a regular basis.  Our company deals in finance, investments, and real estate - if these topics don't excite you (only slightly less than accounting does), then this is not the right fit for you. We want our people to be passionate about what we do, about our clients, and about our company.Candidate must be a team player, good with people, and enjoy what they do.We offer competitive pay and full benefits.  This is a full-time, in-office position in Boise, just south of the BSU. QualificationsProficiency in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting Financial StatementsStrong Analytical Skills and experience in FinanceComprehensive understanding of Financial Reporting and Accounting principles, including GAAPDetail-oriented with advanced problem-solving and organizational skillsStrong knowledge of financial compliance and regulatory standardsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.Proficiency in financial and accounting software toolsManage inventory/asset tracking system for lien/loan investmentsReconcile company & client accountsClient and company financials preparation.Assist with financial planningOversee Budget forecasting and cash flow trackingEnsure government compliance in all tasksInsurance renewalsHR Compliance & Processing LeadStrong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across teamsMust be a leader, willing and excited to engage with and teach others.
