Accounting Manager - Tax & Treasury
Job Description Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager - Tax & Treasury Focus to support the financial operations of the business with an emphasis on tax compliance, treasury management, cash flow oversight, and financial reporting. This role blends hands-on accounting responsibilities with treasury and tax functions while also providing leadership and support within the accounting department. The ideal candidate will be analytical, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Tax & ComplianceSupport federal, state, and local tax compliance activitiesAssist with preparation of tax filings, schedules, and supporting documentationCoordinate with external tax advisors and auditors as neededEnsure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements Treasury & Cash ManagementManage daily treasury activities including cash flow monitoring and banking transactionsAssist with liquidity planning and cash forecastingMaintain banking relationships and support treasury reporting requirementsMonitor cash positions and support working capital management initiatives Accounting & Financial ReportingSupport monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysesAssist in preparation and review of financial statements and variance reportingSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Operational & Leadership SupportPartner with operations and leadership teams to support financial decision-makingIdentify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficienciesProvide guidance and support to accounting staff as neededAssist with implementation and maintenance of financial processes and controls Qualifications Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required5+ years of progressive accounting experience requiredExperience with tax compliance, treasury, or cash management functions preferredManufacturing, industrial, or recycling industry experience preferredPrior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus Technical SkillsStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingERP system experience required; Dynamics 365 preferredAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience with financial analysis and reporting tools preferred Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and communication skillsCollaborative, hands-on approach with the ability to work cross-functionally ResponsibilitiesYou will manage / lead / coordinate / present / build / organiseYou will perform / initiate / establish / identify / provide / ensure / workYou will support / monitor / develop / analyse / take part / assistQualificationsQualifications: ...
