Collections Specialist

DescriptionAccounts Receivable | Collections SpecialistThe Accounts Receivable (AR) Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable balances from existing clients, resolving customer billing issues, and reducing delinquency in accounts receivable. This role supports the accurate and timely application of payments and ensures a high standard of customer service.Key Responsibilities:+ Collaborate with collections team members to maintain and manage assigned accounts.+ Conduct daily client outreach through phone and email, ensuring an organized and consistently scheduled follow-up process.+ Process and apply payments, conduct account reconciliations, and perform research as needed to resolve discrepancies.+ Gain a strong understanding of different client account types and contractual terms to accurately interpret invoicing practices.+ Prepare and present reports for monthly internal meetings as assigned.+ Communicate clearly and promptly with internal teams regarding account adjustments, terminations, and disputes, following established procedures.+ Work with leadership to escalate accounts that require additional attention beyond initial collection efforts.+ Perform other duties as needed to support the AR department.Requirements:+ Bachelor's degree required; Accounting or Business-related focus preferred.+ Experience with high-volume collections required; previous accounts receivable experience a plus.+ At least 1 year of customer service experience required.+ Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite preferred but not required.+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.+ Strong oral and written communication skills.+ Excellent reading comprehension.+ Professional and customer service-oriented phone demeanor.+ Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management.+ Proactive self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team.Compensation & Work Environment:+ This position operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-office work Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays.+ A comprehensive benefits package, annual bonus, and dynamic, creative workplace environment are offered.+ $70-$75K once full timeRequirements Collections - Commercial, Collections - Consumer, Credit - Collections, Collection Processes, Billing CollectionRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
