Joining our team means supporting the professionals who power our communities, ensuring they have the resources, recognition, and rigorous standards required to lead the energy transition.Role DescriptionThis is a part-time remote role preferably located in the Central Texas Area for a Certification & Communications Specialist. The role involves managing certification programs, supporting credentialing processes, and preparing communication materials. Overall, the Certification & Communications Specialist plays a dual role in safeguarding the integrity of our professional credentials while driving member engagement. This individual manages the end-to-end certification lifecycle—ensuring compliance with ANSI/ANAB standards—while coordinating digital outreach and website updates to enhance member value.Primary Duties and Responsibilities1. Certification & Compliance Management· Credential Oversight: Maintain the "Source of Truth" (Master Registry) for all active, expired, and revoked credentials with 100% data accuracy.· Renewal & Audit: Evaluate recertification applications (60 credit hour requirement) and conduct periodic audits (5-10%) of CEU documentation to verify authenticity.· Standards Compliance: Manage the "Virtual Resource Room" for version control of policies and handbooks to reflect current ANSI/ANAB standards.· Impartiality & Reporting: Maintain a "firewall" between training and certification decisions; prepare annual data reports on pass/fail rates and renewal statistics.2. Assessment & Stakeholder Support· Exam Administration: Oversee secure assessment delivery via ClassMarker, monitoring for security breaches or technical irregularities.· SME Coordination: Facilitate meetings with Subject Matter Experts for annual reviews of exam questions and curriculum validity.· Candidate Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for certification inquiries, appeals, complaints, and ADA special accommodation requests.· Digital Credentialing: Manage the automated lifecycle of digital badging and expiration triggers via tracking platform (Sertifier).3. Marketing, Outreach & Digital Presence· Digital Campaigns: Implement email newsletters and social media updates to promote member benefits and organizational news.· Website Management: Update content on the organization’s website (Higher Logic/WordPress) to ensure relevance and a positive user experience.· Membership Support: Assist with processing new member applications and renewals within the database.· Collateral Creation: Assist in developing marketing materials and tracking campaign performance metrics.Requirements· Experience: 2–3 years in marketing, communications, or certification management, preferably within an association or non-profit.· Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with ANAB/ANSI standards or similar compliance frameworks.o Experience with CMS (Higher Logic/WordPress), LMS (Learn Dash), and Email Marketing (Informz/Constant Contact).o Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite.· Skills & Abilities:o Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to create engaging content.o Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.o Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).o Experience (proficiency preferred) in Adobe Creative Suite platforms (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)o Self-starter with a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving abilities.o Bilingual preferred, not required.· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
