Job OverviewThe NCDIT-Transportation Web Systems group is actively seeking a proficient Cloud DevOps Expert for a one-year hybrid contract role based in Raleigh, NC. This individual will play a critical role in enhancing the Department of Highways’ cloud initiatives, focusing on both the development and architecture of PaaS applications along with their supporting infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with internal teams to design and implement cloud solutions for multiple applications.Drive the transformation and modernization of enterprise applications utilizing Azure cloud and Terraform.Assist in deploying and maintaining robust cloud infrastructure that supports organizational objectives.Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Azure platform, emphasizing Azure Networking, Web Application Firewall, API Management Services, and Microsoft Entra/Active Directory.Develop business requirements and facilitate the documentation necessary for change management processes.Create pipelines for the seamless deployment of resources within the cloud environment.Document Disaster Recovery technical procedures for Azure applications and create architectural diagrams for existing cloud-hosted solutions.Research and implement integration processes between Azure DevOps and ServiceNow, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency.Required SkillsDemonstrable expertise in Azure cloud services and infrastructure, particularly in networking and security components.Proficiency in CI/CD methodologies and associated tools.Advanced knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.Experience with API Management Services and Microsoft Entra/Active Directory.Strong ability to document technical specifications and architectural designs.QualificationsA minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cloud development and DevOps practices.Proven history of collaborating effectively with technical teams in a dynamic environment.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.Career Growth OpportunitiesJoining the NCDIT-Transportation Web Systems group offers a unique opportunity to work on innovative cloud initiatives within a government setting, providing a pathway for professional development and skill enhancement.Company Culture And ValuesWe pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
