Project Accountant 📍 Dallas, TX About the firm:We are working closely with a mid-to-large mechanical contractor that has a significant project portfolio across healthcare, hospitality and commercial builds. They specialize in delivering quality mechanical systems using design-build and design-assist project delivery methods, applying the latest technology and refined construction techniques across commercial and industrial construction.About the role:They are looking for someone who can:Ensure original budgets and contract values are correct in the accounting software.Analyze and evaluate project data and metrics to track and report project progress. Support in forecasting activities in preparation for monthly cost to complete meetings and analysis of variancesCommunicate project status and regular project updates to management.Create and maintain comprehensive project reports to assist management in decision-making.Assist in coordinating the efforts of various team members.Perform audits to ensure cost accuracy and adherence to financial regulations.Reconcile Project receivables and payables and support accounting in processing and proper coding.What you will need:Must have 3-5 years Construction accounting experienceProficiency in financial accounting and reporting.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Detailed and accuracy.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.Experience with accounting software, such as Sage, or Coins, is a plus.What's on offer:Exceptional health, dental and vision insurance.
