Product Development Coordinator (Fashion) - Part-Time On-site

Our client, a leading specialty retailer in the menswear industry, is seeking a Product Development Coordinator to support the design and production lifecycle of tailored and casual apparel. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and product development processes who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating quality apparel that combines timeless design with modern craftsmanship.4-6 months with possibility of extension$23-34/hr - weekly pay3 days a week on-site - 24 hours a week for nowKey ResponsibilitiesManage and track product development requests from the design team, ensuring timely updates and communication across departments.Coordinate all aspects of fabric, trim, and garment development — from initial sourcing to production handoff.Partner with factories and mills daily to monitor development progress and troubleshoot issues as needed.Create and maintain accurate tech packs within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.Manage and review pre-production (PPS) and top-of-production (TOP) samples, documenting all findings in the system.Participate in cross-functional meetings to align design, sourcing, and production milestones.Support the broader product development team with organization, tracking, and process improvement initiatives.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, Product Development, or a related field.2+ years of relevant experience in apparel product development or production, preferably in menswear.Strong knowledge of fabric types, garment construction, and apparel design principles.Experience with PLM systems (Product Lifecycle Management) strongly preferred.Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.Self-motivated, dependable, and adaptable to changing priorities.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); Adobe Illustrator a plus.
