Our Award-Winning Client has an opportunity for a Senior Property Tax Analyst to join their team in Rochester, NY. This position reports directly to the Property Tax Manager and is essential for ensuring accurate and timely management of property tax returns and compliance for all retail locations across the United States. The role requires an onsite presence in Rochester, NY, 3-4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file personal property tax returns promptly, utilizing Microsoft tools to ensure data accuracy.
Oversee and manage property tax obligations, including payment processing and coordination.
Address and respond to inquiries from taxing jurisdictions and support audit processes.
Facilitate the integration of property tax software within the organization.
Assist in forecasting property tax liabilities and review assessments for accuracy, seeking opportunities for cost savings, including appeals.
Undertake special projects as assigned.
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business.
At least 3 years of experience in property tax or a related role.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
Initiative and ability to work independently, while taking ownership of assigned tasks.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to engage professionally with stakeholders.
A thorough understanding of accounting principles and internal controls, with strong analytical skills to apply technical guidance.

Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities.
Proactive problem-solving and root cause identification.
Ability to research and interpret technical guidance.
