The General Counsel will also be responsible for enterprise risk management, maintaining high ethical standards, and providing strategic legal guidance to support the organization's mission. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a J.D. with a minimum of 15 years' of senior legal experience, with a focus on trusts and estates. Experience with the laws applicable to 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations is essential. The role requires a professional with a proven track record in legal management, advanced research skills, and the ability to exercise strategic judgment.
