Production Supervisor

CES/AWS is looking for a Production Supervisor for our Automotive Manufacturing Client.Location: Pottstown, PAPay: up to $ 29.65 per hourShift: 3pm-11pmEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition SummaryThe 2nd Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, supervising employees, coordinating workflow, and ensuring production, quality, safety, and efficiency goals are achieved. This role requires strong leadership skills, problem-solving ability, and a hands-on approach to managing a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and coordinate daily production activities to ensure productivity and quality goals are met.Supervise employees within the department and manage production flow across operations.Promote teamwork and collaboration across production lines and all shifts.Monitor and enforce shop floor safety standards while ensuring employees are properly trained in operational and safety procedures.Maintain high standards for housekeeping, safety, and equipment maintenance.Participate in all aspects of quality control related to production activities.Ensure work standards, setup sheets, quality checkpoint sheets, and production documents are current and followed by employees.Monitor scrap levels daily and implement corrective actions to meet annual scrap reduction goals.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality and process capability.Participate in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and corrective actions related to production issues.Lead department production meetings and communicate operational updates effectively.Coach, lead, and support Team Leaders across all shifts.Provide employee coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action when required.Maintain employee training matrices and ensure training requirements are current.Schedule overtime as needed and monitor employee attendance, vacations, and time entry.Complete employee performance evaluations and support employee development.Support and enforce all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.QualificationsHigh School diploma required; college degree or some college coursework preferred.Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience required.Previous supervisory experience preferred.Union manufacturing experience preferred.Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems.Basic mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.Excellent organizational and leadership skills.Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as needed.Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.Send your resume to carmen@canadianexecutivesearch.com
