Systems Engineer Principal - Level 6

Description: You will be the Systems Engineer Principal - Level 6 for the Skunk Works Systems Engineering team which is responsible for delivering cutting-edge mission systems and shaping next-generation aerospace solutions. What You Will Be Doing As the Systems Engineer Principal - Level 6 you will be responsible for driving the technical vision of a new Skunk Works product, guiding cross-functional engineers through requirement development, risk management, and integration. Your responsibilities will include - Leading requirement decomposition, verification, and Functional Configuration Audits. - Directing risk assessment and abatement activities, ensuring timely mitigation. - Developing supplier specifications, Statements of Work (SOWs) and Engineering Requirements Documents (ERDs) for subcontractors and vendors. - Providing systems and subsystem integration/test support, employing Earned Value Measurement Systems (EVMS) to monitor schedule and cost performance, and partnering with program management to maintain technical integrity. - Mentoring engineering personnel and championing best practices across the product lifecycle.
