Field Safety Consultant - OSHA 500 required
** This a one-year contracted role. The job location is in Holly Springs, NC. Candidate MUST be local.**FUNCTION:The Field Safety Consultant inspects client work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations. This position will work to create and enforce a culture of safety within Exceed Safety LLC and all of our clients’ workplaces. Responsibilities also include documenting safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures, and maintaining safety equipment supply and availability. This position reports to the Director of Client Engagement and the assigned Subject Matter Expert/Project Manager.Responsibilities Provide support to all Exceed Safety LLC and client’s employeesSupervises field safety compliance by ensuring that Exceed Safety LLC and client’s employees are fulfilling labor safety policies Conducts safety classes as well as new hire safety orientationsResponsible for all county, states, and federal DOT compliance requirementsEnhance job knowledge by participating in educational training sessionsInspect working conditions in manufacturing sites to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations, as well as Exceed Safety LLC and our client’s requirementsPerform safety audits, job hazard analysis and incident investigationsAdvise and assist in the development and implementation of plans, policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure safety programs are aligned with company and site goalsConduct/assist with the incident investigation process to ensure thorough investigations, provide resolutions, and issue reportsCollaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issuesIntervene in unsafe activities or operationsCOMPETENCIES:Basic:High school diploma or equivalent5 Years experience in Construction and 3 years of Management experienceOSHA 500Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft OfficeValid driver’s licenseExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsShare a strong vision for safetyDemonstrates a flexible, positive ‘can do’ approach to delivering team resultsEthical ConductFlexibilityInitiativePreferred:Prefer Associate Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences or minimum of 1 year experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position; Technical writing a plusStrong time management, organizational skills, and strong attention to detailAbility to anticipate needs, be resourceful and use sound judgment and tactSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThis position has no supervisory responsibilitiesWORK ENVIRONMENTWork is conducted in both indoor office settings, and outdoor jobsite settings.
