Business Analyst - Healthcare

Job Title: Analyst, Business SrLocation: Baltimore, MD 21224 (100% REMOTE)Duration: 12 Months ContractJob Description:Identify, analyze, document, and validate business needs for processes, policies, and systems.Gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications for systems and software.Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.Work with BSA, HS SMEs, and DTR teams on PAS and GC platform requirements.Validate requirements from Guiding Care (GC) and Prior Authorization perspectives.Collaborate with SMEs and testing teams to create and validate clinical test data.Essential Functions:20% Gather, analyze, document, and validate functional/non-functional requirements; support project planning and design reviews.20% Lead UAT activities including test planning, validation, defect tracking, and stakeholder communication.20% Troubleshoot system/process issues and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve moderate to complex problems.20% Create and maintain clear documentation for systems, processes, and requirements.10% Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery.10% Research and respond to policy and system-related queries.Qualifications:Bachelor’s in Business, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience in business/system analysis or testing.Must Have Skills:Experience in UM, CM, Clinical Operations.Guiding Care (GC) configuration experience.DTR integration (MCG or InterQual).Clinical test data creation.CMS-0057 F knowledge.Strong communication & stakeholder management.Team collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications:Proven delivery of high-quality, cost-effective solutions.Strong understanding of business analysis practices.KSAs:Strong knowledge of business systems and processes.Advanced MS Office skills.Excellent communication (written & verbal).Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
