Duties
Safely operate various types of vehicles including shuttle buses, limousines, and specialized transport vans to transport patients to medical appointments, hospitals, or care facilities.
Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous support and ensuring comfort throughout their journey.
Maintain cleanliness and perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure optimal safety and functionality; report any maintenance issues promptly.
Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to guarantee secure transportation at all times.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any special needs or concerns.
Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.
Keep accurate records of trips, mileage logs, and passenger information in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Experience
Prior shuttle driving or delivery driver experience preferred; familiarity with non-emergency medical transportation is a plus.
Experience driving buses, limousines, or other commercial vehicles such as drivers or heavy-duty trucks is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers, healthcare providers, and team members.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines and basic troubleshooting to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and manage physical tasks associated with passenger assistance.
Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated; clean driving record required.
