The ideal candidate must possess an active TS/SCI with POLY and will provide expertise in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment. .The Level III Software Integration Engineer (SIE) shall possess the following capabilities:Ability to integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.Generate documentation for the full software stack.Update software for sustainment support.Basic Linux system administration skills and shell scripting.Execute test codes for characterization of software performance.Provide software product ownership for HPC tools.Working knowledge of CM tools, web documentation, and issue tracking.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and switch between various architectural paradigms.Required And Desired ExperienceQualified candidates must have the following experience:Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux toolsExperience developing Bash/Python scripts to automate manual processesProficient performing Linux System AdministrationExperience installing, configuring, and sustaining COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a Linux environmentFoundational knowledge of DevOps Tooling (e.g., CI/CD, Git)Experience with Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem (NiFi, HDFS, Map/Reduce)Experience with installing, configuring, and sustaining multiple NoSQL databases including MongoDB and AccumuloExperience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman, containerd)Experience with IaC principles and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Salt, Puppet)Demonstrated experience using system monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana)It is desired that candidates also have the following skills:Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence)AWS Cloud experienceRequired EducationQualified candidates must meet one of the following criteria:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.ORThe individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience.ORAn industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience.
