This individual will have an opportunity to make lasting and positive changes in our team!Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:The Logistics Operations Engineer will be responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound (international and domestic) freight; perform tracking and follow up of shipments and claims under various modes of shipment (ocean, air, postal, truck, and parcel) and perform related activities as required.A logistics operations engineer manages and coordinates the movements of goods through various transportation methods, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery.What you will be doing:Develops short and long-term strategy to support customer requirementsPlanning and coordination: organizing the shipment of goods from origin to destination, considering factors like transit times, cost, and legal requirements.Documentation: Handling shipping documents, customs paperwork and ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.Transportation management system - support system implementation and roll out.Actively search and implementation of new carrier/lanes in cooperation to reduce cost and improve quality and delivery.Problem-solving: Addressing and resolving any issues related to shipping delays, damaged goods, or other logistical problems.Claim management.Tracking and monitoring: monitoring shipments in transit, updating on status, and resolving any issues that arise.
