English Language Learner Support Teacher

DutiesAn English Language Learner (ELL) support teacher, also known as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher, provides specialized instruction and support to students who are learning English as a new language. They focus on developing students' English language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while also helping them access and understand content in other subjectsQualificationsTo become an ESL support teacher in Illinois, you'll need to gain an ESL endorsement on your existing Professional Educator License (PEL). This involves completing specific coursework and, in some cases, accumulating clinical experience.Salary/BenefitsAs per negotiated contract.
