Licensed Coding Systems Analyst
To ensure coding compliance and payment integrity, the full-time Licensed Coding Systems Analyst will oversee and maintain code edit systems, research coding guidelines, present financial recommendations, and collaborate with business analysts and vendors while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
Research and evaluate coding guidelines and system edits to support compliance and financial integrity
Present analytical recommendations regarding financial impacts to multi-disciplinary teams and leadership
Collaborate on system updates and maintenance while preparing educational materials for providers
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant coding experience, or an associate degree with 5+ years, or high school equivalency with 8+ years of relevant experience
Completion of a medical coding program with certification (CPC, COC, RHIT, RHIA, CCA, and/or CCS)
Knowledge of Epic healthcare software or claim editing systems such as Optum CES or Claritev ACE
Strong understanding of medical coding regulations, including CPT, HCPCS, ICD10, and governmental payment policies
Ability to analyze complex coding issues and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
