Join us and make a difference in the lives of seniors every day!We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant that will assist the maintenance supervisor in maintaining the community grounds. They will ensure all equipment is in good working order to provide a safe, attractive, and enjoyable living environment.Essential DutiesAssists in the maintenance of ongoing preventive maintenance programsResponds to maintenance orders as placed by residentsAssists in the turnover of empty apartments so they can be leased in a timely wayRepairs and maintains kitchen, housekeeping, and mechanical equipment in good working orderRepairs and maintains heating and air-conditioning unitsInspect and repair any damage to hallways, walls, ceilings, floors, roofs, and resident apartments and garden homes (as applicable).Painting areas as neededMaintains all necessary tools and equipment to provide reasonable maintenanceMaintains inventory security of miscellaneous repair parts and toolsLubricates all appliance motors, room exhaust fans, pumps, and miscellaneous equipment per preventive maintenance schedule or as the manufacturer recommends.Inspects and repairs sewage lift stations if applicableInspect and change all central heating and air-conditioning filters at least monthly, changing filters on apartment units as needed.Education/ Experience RequirementsA high school diploma or equivalent is requiredPrevious experience in a maintenance or similar role is preferred but not requiredExcellent organizational, time-management and computer skillsUnderstand and uphold the policies and procedures established by Triple Crown Senior LivingWork independently, maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and be a positive leaderDemonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skillsMaintain good working relationships with residents, co-workers, families, and external customersWillingness to perform additional duties as assignedAbility to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds and bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach and sit for long periodsWhat We OfferWe offer On-Demand Pay so you can access wages you've already earned between paydays.
