Staff Accountant

Montgomery, AL based real estate developer/manager seeks full time Accountant/bookkeeper. Accounting degree preferred but not necessary if experience and skills are appropriate. Proficiency in accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger accounting required. Experience in a multi-company/general ledger environment is a definite plus. Experience in real estate accounting preferred. Candidate will be responsible for monthly payables, receivables, general ledger entries, reconciliations and close out for numerous partnership entities.Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills and be extremely detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines at short notice and excellent multitasking skills are required. Candidates must be proficient in MS Excel and Word. Sage, Yardi and/or MRI accounting software experience is a plus. 3 years applicable work experience is preferred. Extremely competitive salary based on experience and education.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus
