Cisco Network Architect

Set Solutions, a Trace3 company, are seeking a highly skilled Cisco Architect with extensive experience in Cisco Firepower technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing complex network security solutions, ensuring robust protection and seamless connectivity for our clients. This role is not with Trace3, this is with a client. Key Responsibilities: Design and architect network security solutions using Cisco Firepower technologies, ensuring they meet industry standards and client requirements Lead the deployment, configuration, and management of Cisco Firepower systems including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and advanced malware protection (AMP) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess security needs, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend appropriate security measures Conduct thorough network and security assessments, providing detailed reports and actionable recommendations Ensure continuous monitoring and maintenance of security systems, responding promptly to security incidents and implementing corrective measures Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network security architectures, configurations, and procedures Provide expert guidance and technical support to clients and internal teams on Cisco Firepower-related issues Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in network security, emerging threats, and Cisco Firepower advancements Mentor and train junior engineers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement Participate in client meetings and presentations, articulating complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications such as CCIE Security, CCNP Security, or equivalent are highly desirable Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security with a focus on Cisco Firepower technologies In-depth knowledge of Cisco Firepower platforms, including Firepower Management Center (FMC), Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), and related security products Proven experience in designing and implementing network security solutions for enterprise-level environments Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies Expertise in security technologies such as VPNs, IPSec, SSL/TLS, and advanced threat protection Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills: Experience with other Cisco security products such as Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE, and Cisco Umbrella Knowledge of cloud security and integration with platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Familiarity with compliance standards and best practices such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR Job Type: Contract Benefits: Health insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Experience: Cisco: 7 years (Preferred) Network architecture: 5 years (Preferred) FirePower: 3 years (Preferred) Work Location: Remote
