We are seeking an Azure Cloud Platform Engineer with strong experience supporting enterprise BI platforms, specifically Power BI Service / Fabric, running on Azure.This role is platform engineering–focused. You will own the reliability, scalability, automation, and governance of our BI platforms—not build reports or dashboards. You will partner closely with data engineering, analytics, security, and product teams to modernize and operate cloud-based BI services at scale.What You Will DoEngineer, operate, and support Azure-based cloud platforms that power enterprise analytics and BI workloadsDesign and manage Azure subscriptions, identity (Entra ID), networking, security controls, and governance modelsEnsure platform reliability, performance, scalability, and operational excellencePartner with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with business needsServe as platform SME and owner for Power BI Service / Power BI Cloud / FabricEngineer and administer enterprise BI platform components including:Capacities (Premium / Fabric)GatewaysTenant settingsWorkspace architectureSecurity, access models, and licensingLead and support Power BI Report Server → Power BI Service/Fabric migrations, including platform readiness, risk mitigation, and cutover executionDefine and maintain governance standards, operational runbooks, and monitoring strategiesBuild and maintain automation using PowerShell, Python, and REST APIsImplement CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) to support platform provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle managementReduce manual administration through automation-first engineering practicesBasic Qualifications:Proven experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer or BI Platform Engineer in AzureHands-on experience administering Power BI Service / Cloud in an enterprise environmentStrong platform engineering mindset (administration + engineering + automation)Experience supporting or leading cloud and platform migrations, including legacy BI platformsScripting experience with PowerShell and/or PythonExperience working with REST APIs, source control, and CI/CD pipelinesExperience with Azure DevOps or equivalent DevOps toolingPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Power BI FabricInfrastructure as Code experience (Bicep, Terraform, ARM)Observability and monitoring (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, capacity metrics)Cost optimization and capacity management for analytics platformsDisaster recovery and high-availability design for BI platformsWork Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond Midtown Office or Plano Tech hub and have a Hybrid work arrangement. Associates based in Richmond work on-site 4 days per week.Associates based in Plano work onsite 2 days per week.Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
