Federal Capture & Proposal Coordinator

Position SummaryNOTE: This position requires U.S. citizenshipWe are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Federal Capture & Proposal Coordinator to support our growing federal business development efforts. This role will assist with early-stage capture activities, preparation of sources sought and market research responses, opportunity tracking, and, over time, coordination and development of RFP responses.The ideal candidate is a strong writer and project coordinator who can manage deadlines, organize information, and help turn business development strategy into high-quality submissions. This person will work closely with leadership and technical staff to support federal pursuit efforts from pre-solicitation through proposal submission.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport federal capture activities, including opportunity research, tracking, and pipeline organizationReview SAM.gov and other procurement platforms for relevant opportunities, sources sought notices, RFIs, and RFPsCoordinate and draft responses to sources sought notices, RFIs, and other pre-solicitation requestsHelp develop and maintain capture materials, including capability statements, past performance summaries, resumes, project sheets, and compliance matricesAssist in analyzing solicitations and identifying submission requirements, deadlines, and key compliance itemsCoordinate internal proposal schedules, content collection, reviews, and final production for RFP responsesSupport development of proposal sections such as cover letters, executive summaries, corporate experience, key personnel, and management approachesTrack amendments, Q&A, submission instructions, and required forms for active pursuitsMaintain proposal files, content libraries, and templates to improve efficiency and consistencyCollaborate with leadership, technical staff, and external partners/subconsultants to gather inputs and keep pursuits movingHelp improve internal federal pursuit processes over timeRequired Qualifications2+ years of experience in one or more of the following: federal capture support, proposal coordination, business development support, government contracting, or professional services marketing/proposalsStrong writing, editing, and proofreading skillsStrong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesAbility to read and interpret government notices and solicitation instructionsHigh attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadline pressureProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointAbility to communicate professionally with internal teams and external partnersSelf-starter mindset with willingness to learn federal procurement and proposal processesPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting sources sought, RFIs, or federal proposalsFamiliarity with SAM.gov, federal procurement terminology, and government contracting processesExperience with compliance matrices, proposal calendars, and content librariesExperience in the AEC, professional services, engineering, architecture, environmental, or construction-related industriesFamiliarity with teaming partner coordination and past performance data collectionExperience with Adobe Acrobat and proposal formatting/productionWhat Success Looks Like in This RoleOpportunities are tracked accurately and early-stage pursuits stay organizedSources sought and RFI responses are submitted on time and aligned with requirementsProposal efforts are better coordinated, with fewer last-minute gapsInternal content and templates become more organized and reusableOver time, the role grows into a key contributor for RFP response developmentWhy Join UsOpportunity to help build and shape our federal pursuit processDirect exposure to capture strategy, proposal development, and federal growth effortsHigh-visibility role with meaningful impact on business developmentOpportunity to grow into a larger capture/proposal leadership role over timeEEOAyoroa Simmons is an equal opportunity employer, and we value diversity.
