Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead high-visibility, complex project initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience managing large-scale programs within State and government agencies, demonstrate strong stakeholder management capabilities, and consistently deliver projects on time and within budget in compliance with federal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project management across all phases, including planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out.
Lead and manage Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) – Level 4 stages.
Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
Oversee cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with program objectives and contractual requirements.
Serve as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively manage issues.
Prepare and present project status reports, briefings, and required documentation for internal and external audiences.
Ensure compliance with all federal, agency-specific, and contractual standards and regulations.
Apply industry best practices using PMBOK®, Agile, or Hybrid project management methodologies, as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 8+ years of project and/or program management experience.
At least 7+ years supporting State or government agency projects.
6+ years of experience leading large-scale, complex IT projects.
Proven experience managing multi-year, multi-million-dollar projects ($5M+).
Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working directly with State agencies.
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and DOJ-specific guidelines.
PMP® certification from PMI (or equivalent).
Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe, or similar).
