Role name:  Cellular Wireless Engineer (Testing)Location: San Diego / Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite) Role Description:       Practical knowledge of at least one Cellular Wireless technology including 3G, 4G, 5GPractical knowledge of cellular industry standards including 3GPP, 3GPP2,Carrier specifications including performance requirements, compliance requirements and required testing methodologiesExperience and a deep understanding of System Level RF Parametric its sources in RF component characteristics and behaviorHands on experience with bench level wireless testing, debug at the module, reference board or system levelUnderstanding of Antenna characteristics impact to radiated testingFamiliarity with radiated test setups, radiated chamber calibration and useExperience using RF lab test equipmentAbility to travel domestically (between Cupertino and San Diego)Strong written and verbal communication skillsBS with 10+ years relevant experience requiredResponsibilitiesResponsible for assessing platform-level performance across cellular technologies towards EMI and RF primarily Antenna sensitivity and Coex losses including: implementing in-house test systems; and executing validation & characterization test plansPerforming failure analysis to understand low margin or failing behaviors making use of experimental SW/FW and mock-up hardwareCollaborating with test equipment vendors, technology suppliers and cross-functional staff to optimize RF parametric performanceTracking validation status; analyze results; communicate issues & insights from dataBringing-up device-under-test and setups for validation preparedness
