Trades Career Coach

Brayman Construction Corporation, a leading heavy civil and geotechnical contractor with office headquarters in Saxonburg, is seeking a full-time experienced Trades Career Coach to join our growing team. The Trades Career Coach will be responsible for assisting Team Members develop professional plans for growth within the organization. If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, apply today!Duties/ResponsibilitiesConduct regular meetings with Team MembersBuild relationships to obtain and identify professional strengths and challenges Assist in maximizing a Team Members strength and assist in overcoming challengesGuide and inspire Team Members to advance within their career or position and establish reasonable time frames for career progressionCreate and document individualized development plans for the trades groupPlan and implement a job coaching strategy with all levels of Team MembersAssess and identify Team Members career aspirations and a strategy to addressCommunicates the growth and readiness status of team to senior managementKeeps direct managers updated on the status and desired path of Team MemberAssists in providing guidance for Team Members facing professional challengesAppropriate handling of confidential and non-routine informationStrong attention to detail and excellent customer service skillsEffectively utilizes computer software applications in Microsoft Suite, (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlinesWorks closely with Field Management and Career CoachParticipates in Performance Management as it relates to developmentLeads the Apprenticeship ProgramResearch and apply for applicable training grant fundsRequired Skills/AbilitiesAbility to actively listen and communicate effectivelyExcellent organizational and time management skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to travel up to 50%Education And ExperienceBachelor's Degree in HR Management, Psychology, Sociology, Organizational Development, Education or related field preferred5 years of experience in a similar coaching/development roleSafety Sensitive PositionThis is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects. Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis.
