Part-Time Orton-Gillingham Teacher
Required Skills: Apply a multisensory, diagnostic, prescriptive approach to customized 1:1 instruction. Create focused, data-informed lesson plans specific to each individual student’s needs. Collect data, monitor progress, and write narrative reports. Build rapport with students K-8. General Qualifications: Candidates must have demonstrated experience using the Orton-Gillingham approach. Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in education or special education; licensed teachers are encouraged to apply. Experience working 1:1 with students K-8 is highly preferred. Additional Qualifications: A solid understanding of language-based learning disabilities is strongly desired. Familiarity with interpreting neuropsychological reports and IEPs is another plus. Professional and personable demeanor and comfort interacting with parents/caregivers. Computer literacy/technological savvy. Location: Although we do provide some services in-person at our Needham Learning Center we are also conducting instruction virtually, and will consider fully in-house, hybrid, or fully remote applicants at this time. Perks & Pay: We offer a flexible schedule and ask for a commitment of as few as four hours per week. Professional development opportunities for OGA-trained candidates. $60 per hour.
