Emmy Squared Park Slope is hiring Prep Cooks to join our team! We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. At Emmy Squared, we offer:Competitive payA fun, team-oriented work environmentSupportive leadership and opportunities for advancementHealth benefits for full-time employeesA menu you'll be proud to help createKey Responsibilities:Prepare specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines.Set up and maintain assigned kitchen workstations.Properly store food, labeling and dating items as needed.Follow safe food handling procedures at all times.Minimize loss and waste through appropriate use of supplies and equipment.Report necessary equipment repairs and maintenance to management.Keep work areas neat and clean; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.Perform other back-of-house duties as assigned by management.Qualifications:Minimum 1 year of experience as a cook in a full-service restaurant.Passion for food-pizza knowledge is a plus!Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks.Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.Must have daytime availability, including weekends and holidays.Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs. and push/pull up to 75 lbs.Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching overhead.Ability to use culinary tools (knives, commercial equipment, etc.) and identify flavors through tasting/smelling.Why Join Emmy Squared?We are committed to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
