With a wide array of brands in exciting locations, HRI Hospitality is the destination to set course for growing your career!Job DutiesDelivery of food from the kitchen to guests in a timely and accurate mannerDelivery of In Room Dining orders to the correct guest roomEnsure all dishes match the order and meet presentation standards, requiring understanding of ingredients and allergens across all menu items.Clearly communicate with kitchen and front of house staff to ensure timely and efficient service for all guestsUnderstand and react to guest requests in a friendly and timely manner, escalating needs to management when necessaryDelivery of food orders to correct tables using the established table numbering system and seat numbering system to ensure order accuracyClear and reset tables in a timely manner to assist with turnover and speed of serviceAssist all staff in the removal of dirty and completed dishes, glassware, and all other items to the correct area for cleaningReset tables according to the restaurant standard to ensure uniformity across the dining areaEnsure that all areas of the restaurant are presentable, clean and organizedProvide exceptional guest service and carry out daily duties in accordance with standards and directionGreet, host and respond to requests from teammates and guests in a friendly, courteous, and urgent mannerAbility to complete assigned duties to ensure that preparation for the current and upcoming shifts are complete.Ensure that both front of house and back of house areas are stocked with necessary supplies (glassware, silverware, condiments, napkins, etc.) before during and after serviceUse safety at work place, following company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards and proper chemical storage and usage.Ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional.Able to be on your feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time) and taking a hands-on approach to work, including but not limited to: move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 40 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance.Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean; replacing damaged or soiled pages; cleaning chalkboards; lettering specials on chalkboards.Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners, and bus stations.Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards, and assist in cleaning, maintaining a safe and clean working area, sweeping and mopping as necessary before during and after the shift.Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Perform other duties as directed, developed or assignedMinimum RequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalentKnowledge of food and beverage, service standards, and service etiquetteKnowledge of the appropriate table settings and flatwareAbility to read, speak, listen, and comprehend the English language in order to communicate effectively to team members, understand order tickets, reports and related correspondence, and accurately perform all essential job functionsAbility to perform essential functions in outside conditions during balcony serviceAbility to adjust quickly to changing conditions in the restaurantAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAbility to lift and carry up to 40 pounds repeatedly during a shiftMinimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beveragesMust be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays.Must work well with or without direct supervision.Previous restaurant experience preferredPositive interpersonal skills requiredCompensation: ($9-$13/hour plus tips)HRI is an Equal Opportunity Employer and provides fair and equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other protected status prohibited under Federal, State, or local laws.
