About the Role
Grass Plus is hiring a Sales Manager to drive new business across three divisions:
Reclamation
Residential & Commercial Landscaping
Large & Special Projects
This is a pure sales role. You own the front end of the business - prospecting, qualifying, presenting value, and closing work. You will not manage production. Instead, you'll work closely with Division Managers to ensure proposals are accurate, profitable, and aligned with our capabilities.
Your mission: sell value, not low price.
What You'll Do
Prospect and develop new business with GCs, developers, municipalities, and property managers
Identify and pursue upcoming projects through bid boards, planning registers, and market intelligence
Lead consultative sales conversations focused on quality, risk reduction, and long-term value
Represent Grass Plus at job walks, meetings, and industry events
Collaborate with Division Managers to build accurate, competitive proposals
Maintain a strong sales pipeline and track activity in the CRM
Provide weekly forecasts and sales updates to leadership
Own the client hand-off once contracts are signed to ensure smooth transition to operations
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in construction, landscaping, environmental, or reclamation sales
Strong business development and relationship-building skills
Comfortable selling complex, service-based work, not commodities
Ability to qualify leads and protect margins
Organized, self-driven, and accountable
Professional communicator who represents the company well in the field
Performance Expectations
Drive new revenue across all divisions (target: $6M annually)
Maintain a healthy pipeline (3 annual target)
Target 30%+ close rate on qualified proposals
Fast, professional response to incoming leads
