Certified Medication Technician

The Certified Medication Technician is responsible for administering prescribed medications under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role includes documenting medication administration, adhering to infection control protocols, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The technician participates in audits and data collection to support performance improvement efforts. They monitor for adverse reactions and report them promptly while maintaining medication supply levels. The technician also ensures patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.Qualifications & RequirementsEDUCATIONHigh School graduate or equivalent.Experience1 year related experience in a medical environment preferred.
