Title: Software engineer (Java, C++, Python)
Location: El Segundo, CA or Albuquerque, New Mexico (Day one onsite)
Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret
Must have:
Java or Python or C++ (if they have all three, would be perfect), REST API development, CI/CD
Nice to have:
- Space or mission systems, or ground systems experience
- Active TS Clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
- Strong software engineering fundamentalsBackend development experienceJava, C++, Python, or JavaScriptREST API development
- Object-oriented programmingCI/CD, DevSecOps, AgileSpace, mission systems, or ground systems experience
- Project Scope:
Support Boeing Defense, Space & Security's Rapid Space Capabilities (RSC) portfolio developing next-generation space and ground software systems. These Software Engineers will contribute across the software development lifecycle including requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of mission-critical applications supporting space, mission, and command-and-control environments. While space domain knowledge is beneficial, the priority for these lower-level Software Engineers is strong software development capability, with opportunities to learn the mission and ground systems domain from senior team members.
High-Level Individual Duties:
Design, develop, and maintain software applications and services
Develop backend software components and APIsSupport system integration and testing activities
Participate in code reviews and software quality activities
Collaborate with systems engineering and mission teams to implement requirements
Work within Agile and DevSecOps development environments
Support software deployment, troubleshooting, and sustainment activities
Contribute to the development of ground systems, mission systems, and command-and-control applications
Utilize CI/CD pipelines and source control tools for software delivery
