This role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, promoting dignity and comfort, and serving as a positive ambassador to residents, families, and visitors.This role may also be known as:Nursing Assistant, Caregiver, Resident Care Assistant, or Personal Care Assistant.What You'll DoAssist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, meals, and mobilitySupport residents' emotional well-being through compassionate interaction and companionshipObserve and report changes in resident condition to care team membersHelp maintain a clean, safe, and home-like living environmentProvide courteous support to residents, families, and visitorsWork collaboratively with caregivers, nurses, and community leadershipMaintain professional behavior and represent your community positivelyFollow resident care plans and comply with state and federal guidelinesWhat You BringQualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageCompassionate, dependable, and resident-focusedAbility to follow instructions and work as part of a teamWillingness to complete training and learn new skillsExperienceNo certification or prior healthcare experience requiredOn-the-job training providedInterest in future certification or career growth in senior care is a plusPhysical DemandsLift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as neededPush, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistanceManeuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.Safety RequirementsFollow proper resident care procedures, including two-person lifts when requiredUtilize required PPE to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogensReport work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentationParticipate in company drug testing proceduresWork EnvironmentThis role is performed in an indoor Assisted Living environment focused on comfort, routine, and resident independence.
