About the Company: Johnston Engineering is a growing product development engineering company located in Spokane, Washington. At Johnston Engineering, our customers want to build new products, devices, and machines but need help in the research, design, and test stages, so we provide detailed engineering design, analysis, and fabrication services so when our customers get their devices to market, they know they will work successfully. We work in multiple industries including clean tech, energy storage, battery and electronics cooling and packaging, medical and dental devices, automotive, automation, consumer products, firearms, and more. Job Description: Johnston Engineering is seeking a motivated, data-driven, and detail-oriented individual to join our small but growing sales team and provide business development, sales, and marketing support. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of driving Johnston Engineering’s growth by researching and creating pertinent sales and client information. In this role, you will be essential to our sales team and responsible for identifying potential customers who could benefit from our services. Your research and insights into client prospects and their decision-making processes will help us strategically position Johnston Engineering for success, converting prospects into long-term clients. What Your Typical Day May Involve: Researching & Identifying Target Leads: Dive deep into identifying potential clients by researching industry fit, engineering service fit, company size, R&D stage, next steps in development, and specific needs Johnston Engineering can meet. Your work will directly feed into our prospecting and client creation processes, helping Johnston Engineering connect with innovative companies across various sectors. You will be working directly in Johnston Engineering’s CRM system to create and track all Prospect -> Lead -> Client information. Supporting Sales Strategy: Prepare actionable insights for the sales team, including client meeting prep notes, presentations, proposals, and grant applications. You'll play a crucial role in equipping our team with the information they need to pursue exciting new projects. Creating & Analyzing Sales Reports: Use tools like Monday.com CRM to track KPIs across multiple sales channels, preparing, generating, and presenting reports that inform our future strategies. Your insights will help shape our training programs and overall sales approach. This Job Might Be For You If:: You’re a recent graduate with a degree in Business, Marketing, or Data Analytics. Job Type: Full-time. Schedule: 9-hour days, Monday - Friday, with every other Friday off We work a hybrid “9/80 schedule”: 9-hour day schedule on a two 2-week cycle. Monday - Thursday are 9-hour days with Friday being an 8-hour day. Then the following Friday is an “off Friday” for an additional 26 non-working days per year.
