This role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of loan files by independently validating key borrower and loan data as part of the post-closing QC review process.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform required post-closing reverifications including, but not limited to:Employment (VOE)IncomeAssets (VOA)Rent/mortgage history (VOR/VOM)Execute all QC reverification activities in compliance with agency standards and guidelinesReview loan files and supporting documentation to identify required reverification componentsInitiate and follow up on third-party verification requests (employers, financial institutions, landlords, etc.)Ensure all reverifications are:Independently obtainedProperly documentedCompleted within required timelinesValidate accuracy of borrower information compared to original loan file dataRecalculate borrowers’ income to ensure accuracyIdentify discrepancies, red flags, or potential fraud indicators and escalate appropriatelyMaintain detailed documentation of all verification attempts and results in QC systems (e.g., ACES or equivalent)Meet established productivity and quality benchmarksAdhere to company policies, client-specific requirements, and regulatory standardsRequired QualificationsMinimum 3 years of mortgage industry experience, preferably in Quality Control, processing, underwriting, or post-closingStrong knowledge of:Mortgage loan documentationIncome calculation and employment typesAsset documentation and sourcingFamiliarity with Fannie Mae and all other agency guidelines for post-closing QC requirementsExperience with QC platforms such as ACES (preferred)High attention to detail and strong analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple files and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in Quality Control reverificationsKnowledge of fraud detection techniques and red flagsExperience working with multiple investor guidelinesKey CompetenciesDetail-oriented with strong investigative mindsetAbility to work independently and exercise sound judgmentStrong organizational and time management skillsCommitment to quality and complianceThe pay rate range for this job position is $15.97 to $ 41.00 per hour. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
