Job DescriptionCNC Swiss MachinistLocation: Hudson, NYShift: 1st (6 AM - 3 PM)Industry: Precision Manufacturing / CNC MachiningEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition Overviewwe are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Swiss Machinist on behalf of one of our manufacturing clients. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who can independently set up, operate, and adjust CNC machining centers while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and productivity.The successful candidate will work with minimal supervision, interpret complex blueprints, select appropriate tooling, and ensure precision machining of components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC milling machinesPerform machine adjustments and troubleshoot CNC controllers, tooling, and machining processesRead, interpret, and work from detailed blueprints, drawings, and work instructionsSelect appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and work holding devicesSet and optimize feeds, speeds, offsets, and tool paths to ensure quality and efficiencyPerform in-process and final inspection of machined parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements per print specificationsWork independently with minimal supervision while meeting production schedulesAssist with continuous improvement efforts related to machining efficiency and qualityMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including machines, tools, and shop floorMonitor tool wear and re-order tooling as needed to prevent production downtimeFollow all company safety policies and quality standardsQualifications & RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required2–3 years of hands-on experience in CNC SwissStrong knowledge of CNC machining principles and milling processesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T specificationsExperience using precision inspection tools for dimensional verificationComfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned machines and jobsAbility to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with machining operations
